Covid-19 Safety Information
We want you to have a relaxed time at Stones Cottages, we treat the cleaning and preparation of the cottages very seriously. We have spent a lot of time researching cleaning and sanitising methods and making risk assessments in relation to coronaviruses and Covid-19. It has meant a lot of changes and a lot of hard work.
It is important to us that everyone is safe and Stones Cottages is still a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Pembrokeshire.
Autmn 2020 – Easter 2021
At the moment we are putting 30hr buffers between bookings. This is to allow 3hrs before we enter the cottages in addition to the extended cleaning time. As well as providing a time gap between guests leaving and new guests arriving.
In order to stay true to our eco ethos we are steam cleaning mattresses and other surfaces. We use coronavirus approved eco sanitiser and rotate all duvets and pillows. All surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitised and no viral bombs are used.
All crockery and cutlery and other kitchen items are put through the dishwasher every changeover. We also steam clean the windows and wash and then sanitise all high touch surfaces.
Covid-19 & Easter 2021 Onwards
We have no idea how Covid-19 is going to affect us in the future. We are taking bookings as normal from Easter onwards. However if circumstances haven’t changed by then we will have to reinstate the 30hr buffers and ask you to leave a day earlier. If this arises your 7 day booking will be reduced to six nights. A two week booking to 13 nights. Your booking cost will be reduced if this is the case.
Short breaks can not be booked on line for this period but you are welcome to contact us directly. This is to allow us to control the changeover days and extended cleaning times. If the start and end dates on our booking system don’t work for you please email us or call us. Please also contact us if you would like any more information.
Deposits and Payments
Due to the uncertainties of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic for everyone, if you need to cancel due to local lockdown then your payments will either be refunded or we can move your booking to alternate dates. Similarly if we have to close at short notice if one of us developed coronavirus symptoms.
Covid-19 Restrictions and the Welsh Government
Please be aware that the Welsh Government has devolved powers and the Covid-19 restrictions may be different from where you live. Please check the latest Welsh government rules before travelling. In order to comply with the law we have to remain 2m apart from all guests, we cannot enter the cottages unless there is an emergency and we have to wear a mask if we do so.
It is very important that you do not visit if you have had coronavirus symptons in the last two weeks. If you develope symptoms whilst here you must return home to self isolate immediatly and let us know that you have felt unwell.
