A Cosy Eco Holiday Cottage
Harmony is a comfortable, cosy eco holiday cottage sleeping up to four people in two spacious bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has two large, comfortable single beds with an en suite wet room and boasts views of the courtyard garden from its arched coach house window. The upstairs bedroom contains a king-size bed and views of Garn Fawr and the surrounding countryside can be seen from its windows. It also has an en suite bathroom, complete with a bath and shower.
The lounge contains a sofa and two easy chairs set around the log burning stove. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo system. Also, downstairs is a dining table and a separate kitchen. The kitchen includes a low energy fridge with ice box, as well as an electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
The water for the holiday cottage is pumped from our own borehole and is heated using solar thermal energy. We have used as many natural products in the renovation and decoration of Harmony Barn as we can, so that natural wood, slate tiles, lime plasters, and clay paints all add to the special feel of this eco holiday cottage.
Please be aware that whilst there is a downstairs bedroom, the upstairs of Harmony Cottage is reached by a steep alternate tread staircase (a little like a ladder), which may not be suitable for small children, the elderly and the less mobile.
If this is not right for you, Workshop Cottage has a standard staircase.
What is Included in the Price?
All the bed linen and towels for the holiday cottage are included, these are fair trade and organic. We also provide kitchen staples such as oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, eco cleaning cloths and products, foil and baking parchment, as well as some bathroom essentials such as locally-produced, organic shampoo, conditioner and soap, and eco toilet roll.
The price also includes the first load of logs, and, of course, water and electricity.
Electric Vehicle Charging
We currently have a 7kw type 2 EV charger which you are welcome to use. There is a charge for this. We ask that you keep track of the kW/h that you use so we can calculate the cost at the end of your stay.
Dog Friendly Cottages
We allow up to two dogs in the cottage as long as they are well-behaved, and stay off the furniture. We do ask that you bring beds and bowls for them and do not let them upstairs. Please do not leave them on their own in the cottages. There are a number of fields around Llandruidion, the small-holding where Stones Cottages are situated, where they can run without leads. Please check with us which fields can be used when you get here.

Family Friendly Holidays
For those with a young family we can supply stair gates, a fireguard, a high chair and a cot. Please let us know at the time of booking, so we can get them set up for your arrival. For those requesting a cot, we would be grateful if you could bring your own bedding for it.
There are also fields to run about in and a small woodland to explore. This self-catering holiday cottage makes a great place to holiday with a family. We are in easy reach of many beaches and attractions.
Availability & Booking
Please note that all bookings made are provisional until confirmed by email upon receipt of the deposit and/or payment of balance. We will not release your provisionally booked dates without first trying to contact you, however we do ask for quick payment of the deposit/ balance so that we can confirm the booking for you as soon as possible. At present, we only accept bank transfers and cheques, if this is a problem please call. The deposit is £100 per week, payable within a week, preferably as soon as possible. The remainder of the balance is due a month before your holiday. If the start of your holiday is within a month of booking, the full balance is due upon booking. We will write to remind you of the amount and payment details.
