Annual Festivals around Stones Cottages
There is much to do in and around Fishguard, but what’s on and when? We have chosen some of our favourite events. Why not come and have a green holiday, staying in one of our eco holiday cottages and visit one of these exciting local events.
|Fishguard Folk Festival||26th - 29th May 2017||The 18th annual (lots of free events) celebration of folk music, song and dance taking place over the late Spring Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 24th to Monday 27th May 2013 in the historic seaport town of Fishguard. With concerts, dance displays, meet the artist events, busking, informal music and song sessions and a real ale bar.|

|Fishguard Agricultural Show/ Fishguard Show||August 2017 TBC||Enjoy an exciting day out for all the family at this typical Agricultural Show. Attractions include judging of Cattle, Sheep, Pig and Horse Classes; Parade of Vintage machinery, Threshing demonstrations, Tractor tug-of-war; Foxhounds; Crafts; Horticulture; Fairground and a variety of Trade Stands. Crowds in their thousands have gone crazy for Pembrokeshire’s annual celebration of the great outdoors.
Now in its eighth year, The Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival has become renowned for its friendly atmosphere, food and drink, wacky entertainment and hands-on madness for every member of the family.
|Fishguard International Music Festival||July/ August 2017 TBC||The Gwyl Gerdd Ryngwladol Abergwaun, or Fishguard International Music Festival, is a Welsh gem, and one of the world's best value classical music festivals. |St Davids Cathedral Music Festival||26th May - 4th June 2017||The St. Davids Cathedral Festival has been responsible for bringing classical music to the heart of West Wales for over 35 years. For ten days annually in May and June the Cathedral is host to a feast of classical and contemporary music concerts under the artistic direction of Oliver Waterer, the Organist and Master of the Choristers.||www.stdavidscathedralfestival.co.uk|
Things to do and places to go close to Stones Cottages
Fishguard has much to offer. From a community run cinema to a brilliant surplus food cafe, a weekly folk club and farmers market. Did you also know that Fishguard was the site of the last invasion of Britain and has it’s own “Bayeux Tapestry” documenting the invasion at the library in the Town Hall.
